Lavender has a relaxing effect before bedtime, relieves burns and skin problems. The oil has an energetic balancing effect. Within aromatherapy, lavender oil is seen as the most versatile oil because it has many properties. Lavender oil is an essential oil that, like lemon oil, restores harmony and creates a pleasant, fresh and purifying atmosphere. Lavender oil relaxes the nerves, drives away bad thoughts and is especially known for its beneficial effect on falling asleep.
Tips on how to use lavender oil
In a scent diffuser:
Add 5 drops to a diffuser. Evaporate the scent in the living room, office or bedroom. Lavender cleans and freshens the air. In winter it can help with respiratory diseases and in summer this oil keeps insects at bay. The oil has a relaxing effect in the bedroom and is very suitable for people who have difficulty falling asleep.
Lavender diluted in a cream or fatty vegetable oil is suitable for sensitive and irritated skin, for example after shaving or after sunburn. Because the oil has a skin-healing effect, you can apply it neat to pimples, insect bites or wounds.
Lavender oil diluted in a massage oil can be used for stiff and stiff muscles. This oil promotes blood circulation, making lavender massage also suitable for winter feet.
In the bath:
Lavender calms nervous and tense people. Put a maximum of 10 drops in a full bath and, especially in the evening, lavender promotes a healthy night's sleep.
Strictly avoid its use in children under 3 years of age. Essential oils are highly concentrated substances and must be diluted in almost all applications. Avoid use on sensitive areas (mucous membranes, eyes...). If you are pregnant, have epilepsy, liver failure, or another health problem, use essential oils only with a prescription.
